Our society now stands at a pivotal turning point as we strive to advance into a truly developed nation. At this moment, national research institutions must provide scientific grounds for government policies and produce tangible outcomes that the public can genuinely feel.

The National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences will continue to support each research institution so that they can faithfully carry out their core missions. Beyond producing simple research reports, we will build a system that generates meaningful results that directly influence policy implementation, thereby providing substantial support to the President and government ministries.

We will also strengthen collaboration and collective intelligence among our research institutions, work to realize the vision of the President and the government, and produce policy outcomes that the public can experience and trust. In addition, we will create an environment in which researchers can take pride in their work and focus wholeheartedly on their research.

Under the government’s vision of “a nation where the people are the true owners, a Korea where everyone can thrive together,” we will do our utmost to ensure that national research institutions play a central role in establishing a scientific basis for national policy and bringing meaningful change to the lives of our citizens.
